Te Rapa Auto Electrical has been a long-standing brand in Hamilton for as long I can remember. The Global events of 2020 unfortunately saw the workshop have to close the doors and put the business to the market.

My wife Sarah and I (John) have owned an automotive business in Wellington since 2013, Wellington European. More recently we have also grown our Family with Ollie born in 2020 and Max in 2021. For a long time we’ve talked about a move back to the Waikato where I have fond memories of, having lived here previously for a number of years, with the introduction of two boys and the lack of family in Wellington, Te Rapa Auto Electrical seemed like a great foot in the door to come home. 2020 Saw us purchase the business and we re-opened the doors on the 17 th of August. 2020.

We have a small team working here dedicated to providing great personalised service, and we are heavily focused on bring back the brand, and being ‘that place you go to’ to have your car repairs, diagnostics and accessories etc done. We have also been able to bring with us some additional services that we have been doing in Wellington for years, things like providing mechanical breakdown insurance, Remap Tunes, Accessories such and Rhino Rack and more. Not do mention a huge amount of European and British car knowledge now on tap when required.
